A Fronius showing an error code is telling you something has stopped working the way it should. Every sunny day it sits in fault is power your roof is not making, so you are buying it back from the grid at full price. Some codes are more than lost savings: an earth or insulation fault can mean live solar wiring is leaking to earth somewhere on your roof.
The good news is that Fronius is one of the easier brands to get fixed. Fronius is an Austrian maker with an Australian office and service network, and boards for the Primo, Symo and Galvo can often be swapped whether or not the unit is still under warranty. Many faults turn out to be simpler still: a wet connector, a tripped switch or a setting.
Caught early, most faults are one visit and a part, and your system is back to cutting your bill. Left alone, a small fault can become a dead inverter, and a whole season of savings is gone.
Find your code in the table below to see what it means and how urgent it is. If your home is in Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, Gawler, the Barossa, the Fleurieu, Murray Bridge and Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, or North Brisbane, Caboolture, Bribie Island, the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie in Queensland, our own licensed electricians will go through it with you over the phone for free before anyone drives out. Check your postcode to see if we cover you.
The model name is on the label on the side of the unit, and in the Solar.web app if your system is connected to it.
Fronius shows a fault as STATE followed by a number, on the display and in Solar.web. The first digit of the number is its class: STATE 447 is a class 4 code, so it sits under 4XX. Every code we hold is below, grouped by class, with what it actually means and how urgent it is. Codes marked "IG series" are from the older IG and IG Plus. The number in brackets after each code's name is its source in the reference list.
We always err on the cautious side: when a code sits between two ratings, it gets the higher one.
Codes from 100 to 199. Usually the mains grid, not the inverter. Most of these clear on their own once the grid settles. 1 stop and call, 9 wait and watch.
| Error code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STATE 101Fronius error code 101 | Grid voltage out of limits (IG series)[2] On the older Fronius IG and IG Plus the mains voltage is outside the range the inverter is allowed to work with, so it has paused and is waiting for the grid to settle. It restarts on its own; if it keeps happening the voltage at your switchboard needs checking. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 102Fronius error code 102 | Grid voltage too high[1] The mains voltage coming into the inverter is above the limit it is allowed to work with, so it has paused and is waiting for the grid to settle. It restarts on its own; if it keeps happening the voltage at your switchboard needs checking. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 103Fronius error code 103 | Grid voltage too low[1] The mains voltage is below the inverter's working range, so it has stopped feeding in until the grid comes back within limits. Usually a supply problem or a power cut, not an inverter fault. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 104Fronius error code 104 | Grid frequency out of limits (IG series)[2] On the older Fronius IG and IG Plus the grid frequency is outside the allowed range, so the inverter has paused. This is a grid condition and it clears itself. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 105Fronius error code 105 | Grid frequency too high[1] The grid frequency has drifted above the allowed limit, so the inverter has paused. This is a grid condition and it clears itself. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 106Fronius error code 106 | Grid frequency too low[1] The grid frequency has dropped below the allowed limit, so the inverter has paused. This is a grid condition and it clears itself. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 107Fronius error code 107 | No grid detected[1] The inverter cannot see the mains supply at all. Either there is a power cut, the solar supply main switch or circuit breaker is off, or the AC connection between the inverter and the switchboard has a fault. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 108Fronius error code 108 | Islanding detected[1] The inverter thought the grid had dropped out and switched itself off for safety, which it must do so it never powers the street on its own. It restarts once it sees a steady grid again; if this recurs on a normal day the grid connection needs checking. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 109Fronius error code 109 | General grid error (IG Plus)[5] The IG Plus shows this first for any grid problem, then narrows it to a voltage or frequency code once it has checked each phase. If it stays at 109 the phases are reporting different faults. It is a grid condition and usually clears itself. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 112Fronius error code 112 | Residual current monitor error[1] The inverter's built-in leakage current monitor (RCMU) has tripped or failed its check. Fronius groups this with the grid codes and it often clears, but if it stays on the unit or the wiring needs testing. Anything to do with earth or leakage current is a safety fault, so we treat it as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
Codes from 300 to 399. Faults while the inverter is converting power: current, the DC input from the panels, heat and the cooling fans. 12 stop and call, 2 worth a look, 2 wait and watch.
| Error code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STATE 301Fronius error code 301 | AC overcurrent[1] The inverter saw a current spike on the mains side and briefly stopped, then went through its start-up again. A one-off clears itself; a code that stays on means the unit needs a service visit. Over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit faults can damage hardware, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 302Fronius error code 302 | DC overcurrent[1] The inverter saw a current spike from the solar panels and briefly stopped. A one-off clears itself; if it recurs the panel wiring and the inverter need checking. Over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit faults can damage hardware, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 303Fronius error code 303 | Inverter over-temperature[1] The DC side of the inverter has got too hot, so it has paused to cool down and will restart on its own. Usually blocked cooling vents, a dusty heatsink, a failed fan or a spot in full afternoon sun. Heat shutdowns point at a failing fan, a blocked vent or a bad installation spot, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 304Fronius error code 304 | Internal temperature too high[1] The inside of the inverter (the AC side) has got too hot, so it has paused to cool and will restart on its own. Same causes as STATE 303: poor airflow, dust, a fan fault or direct sun. Heat shutdowns point at a failing fan, a blocked vent or a bad installation spot, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 305Fronius error code 305 | No power despite relay closed[1] The inverter connected to the grid but no power flowed, so it stopped and restarted. A one-off clears itself; if it keeps recurring the unit needs a service visit. A relay fault can leave the inverter unable to disconnect safely, so we treat it as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 306Fronius error code 306 | Power low[1] The panels are not making enough power for the inverter to feed in, so it is waiting. Normal at dawn, dusk and in heavy cloud; it is only a problem if it shows in good sunlight. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 307Fronius error code 307 | DC low[1] The voltage from the panels is too low for the inverter to start. Normal at dawn, dusk and in heavy cloud; in good sun it points to a string that is switched off, disconnected or faulty. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 308Fronius error code 308 | Internal circuit overvoltage[1] The voltage inside the inverter rose above its limit, so it stopped briefly and restarted. A one-off clears itself; if it stays on the display the inverter needs a service visit. Over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit faults can damage hardware, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 309Fronius error code 309 | DC input 1 voltage too high[1] The voltage from the panels on input 1 is above what the inverter can take. This is usually too many panels in one string or a cold, bright morning pushing the voltage up, and it needs an installer to check the string design. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 311Fronius error code 311 | DC string polarity reversed[1] A panel string is connected to the inverter the wrong way round. This is a wiring fault and must be corrected by an electrician. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 313Fronius error code 313 | DC input 2 voltage too high[1] The voltage from the panels on input 2 is above what the inverter can take. Usually too many panels in one string or a cold, bright morning, and the string design needs checking. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 314Fronius error code 314 | Current sensor calibration timeout[1] The inverter could not finish calibrating one of its internal current sensors and restarted. A one-off clears itself; a code that stays on means an internal fault that needs a service visit. Internal and hardware faults need testing with the right instruments, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 315Fronius error code 315 | AC current sensor error[1] The sensor that measures the inverter's output current has failed its check. This is an internal hardware fault and needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 325Fronius error code 325 | Connection area overheating[1] The wiring compartment at the bottom of the inverter has got too hot, which usually means a loose or damaged cable connection. Leave it off and have it checked before it runs again. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 326Fronius error code 326 | Fan 1 fault[1] The inverter's first cooling fan is not running properly. The inverter can keep working at reduced power but will overheat on hot days, so the fan should be cleaned or replaced. Heat shutdowns point at a failing fan, a blocked vent or a bad installation spot, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 327Fronius error code 327 | Fan 2 fault[1] The inverter's second cooling fan is not running properly. The inverter can keep working at reduced power but will overheat on hot days, so the fan should be cleaned or replaced. Heat shutdowns point at a failing fan, a blocked vent or a bad installation spot, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
Codes from 400 to 499. The inverter's own electronics and its safety checks, including insulation and earth faults. Fronius says some of these need a trained service technician, and most are stop and call. 33 stop and call, 8 worth a look, 2 wait and watch.
| Error code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STATE 401Fronius error code 401 | No communication with power stage[1] The inverter's control board has lost contact with the part that actually makes the power. It keeps trying to reconnect and will resume if it can; if the code stays on, the inverter needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 402Fronius error code 402 | Memory access fault (IG series)[2] On the older Fronius IG and IG Plus the inverter could not read or write its internal settings memory. It tries to reconnect; if the code stays on, the control board needs a service visit. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 404Fronius error code 404 | Grid monitor connection fault (IG series)[4] On the older Fronius IG the control unit has lost contact with its built-in grid monitoring unit (ENS). Stop and call |
| STATE 408Fronius error code 408 | DC current in grid output[1] The inverter has detected direct current leaking into its mains output, which is not allowed and points to a fault in the output stage. On the older IG series the same code means the grid phases are unbalanced and usually clears itself. Anything to do with earth or leakage current is a safety fault, so we treat it as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 412Fronius error code 412 | Fixed voltage setting wrong[1] The inverter has been set to run at a fixed panel voltage instead of tracking the best point, and that fixed voltage is set too high or too low. An installer needs to correct the setting. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 415Fronius error code 415 | External safety shutdown[1] Something wired to the inverter (an option card, a shutdown input or the network's control signal) has told it to stop, so it is not feeding in. If nobody has deliberately shut it down, the external wiring or device needs checking. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 416Fronius error code 416 | Power stage not talking to controller[1] The inverter's power section and its control board have lost contact with each other. It keeps trying to reconnect; if the code stays on, the inverter needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 417Fronius error code 417 | Hardware ID problem[1] The inverter's boards do not recognise each other, which usually happens after a board has been replaced or a firmware update has gone wrong. Codes from 500 to 599. Warnings that usually let the inverter keep running, sometimes at reduced output. Worth reading even when the power is still flowing. 10 stop and call, 5 worth a look, 4 wait and watch.
| Error code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STATE 501Fronius error code 501 | Fan or heatsink fault (IG series)[2] On the IG Plus a cooling fan has failed; on the older IG the heatsink is too hot even at low output. The inverter keeps running at reduced power but will overheat on hot days, so the fan or vents need attention. Heat shutdowns point at a failing fan, a blocked vent or a bad installation spot, so we treat them as a call. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 502Fronius error code 502 | Panel insulation warning[1] The inverter measured low insulation on the solar panel wiring but is still running, which is the warning version of STATE 447. Usually moisture in a connector or a damaged cable. On the older IG series it means an isolation fault between the DC wiring and earth. Have it checked before it becomes a full shutdown. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 504Fronius error code 504 | Monitoring address clash (IG series)[2] On the older Fronius IG and IG Plus two devices on the Solar Net monitoring link have the same address, so the monitoring cannot work. The inverter still makes power; an installer changes the address in the setup menu. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 505Fronius error code 505 | Settings memory lost (IG series)[2] On the older Fronius IG and IG Plus part of the settings memory has been lost: setup values (505), total energy figures (506) or the day and year figures (507). The inverter keeps running and usually fixes itself; if it keeps happening the control board needs a service visit. Internal and hardware faults need testing with the right instruments, so we treat them as a call. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 508Fronius error code 508 | Inverter address lost (IG series)[2] On the older Fronius IG and IG Plus the inverter's monitoring address has been lost from memory. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 509Fronius error code 509 | No power fed in for 24 hours[1] The inverter has not sent any power to the grid in the last 24 hours. Fronius's own examples are snow or dirt on the panels, but in Australia it usually means a switched-off isolator or another fault code that was showing earlier. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 512Fronius error code 512 | Power stack fault (IG series)[4] On the older Fronius IG the inverter has found the wrong number of internal power stacks, or one is stuck starting up (512, 513, 514). This is an internal fault that needs a service visit. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 515Fronius error code 515 | No communication with filter[1] The inverter has lost contact with its internal filter board and is showing a warning. On the older IG series the same code means a power stack has reported an internal error. Either way it needs a service visit if it stays on. Internal and hardware faults need testing with the right instruments, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 516Fronius error code 516 | No communication with battery[1] The inverter has lost contact with the storage unit (battery) connected to it, so the battery is not being used. Solar still works. STATE 519 is the same warning. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 517Fronius error code 517 | Output reduced by heat[1] The inverter is too hot, so it has cut its output to protect itself and is still running. It goes back to full power once it cools. Common on hot afternoons when the vents are dusty or the unit is in the sun. Heat shutdowns point at a failing fan, a blocked vent or a bad installation spot, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 518Fronius error code 518 | Internal processor malfunction[1] The inverter's signal processor has reported a fault. It is still running for now but the warning means an internal problem that needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 520Fronius error code 520 | Input 1 made nothing for 24 hours[1] The panels on input 1 have not produced anything in the last 24 hours while the rest of the system is working. Usually a string that is switched off, disconnected or shaded, or a failed panel or connector. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 522Fronius error code 522 | Input 1 voltage low[1] The panel string on input 1 is giving too little voltage. Normal at dawn and dusk; in good sun it means that string is switched off, disconnected or has a faulty panel or connector. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 523Fronius error code 523 | Input 2 voltage low[1] The panel string on input 2 is giving too little voltage. Normal at dawn and dusk; in good sun it means that string is switched off, disconnected or has a faulty panel or connector. If input 2 is not used, the warning is harmless. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 558Fronius error code 558 | Circuit boards incompatible (warning)[1] Two boards inside the inverter are running software that does not match (STATE 558 and 559). The inverter may keep running but can misbehave, and a firmware update is needed. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 560Fronius error code 560 | Output reduced by grid frequency[1] The grid frequency is running high, so the inverter has cut its output as the rules require. It goes back to full power on its own when the frequency settles; nothing is wrong with the inverter. Safe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 566Fronius error code 566 | Arc detector switched off[1] The inverter's arc fault detector has been turned off, so it reminds you every day. Fronius treats it as information, not a fault, but the detector is a safety feature and an installer should confirm why it is off. Arc faults are a fire risk, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 567Fronius error code 567 | Output reduced by grid voltage[6] The grid voltage at your home has gone above about 250 volts, so the inverter has cut its output to help bring it down, as Australian grid rules require. The inverter is fine; the cause is high network voltage, and if it happens most days the network provider or an electrician should look at the supply. Best effort · from a secondary copySafe steps in the lookup |
Wait and watch |
| STATE 572Fronius error code 572 | Output limited by power stage[1] The inverter's power stage is holding output back for its own reasons. If the warning stays on, the inverter needs a service visit. Internal and hardware faults need testing with the right instruments, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
Codes from 600 to 699. Sensor and internal data faults. Fronius says some of these need a trained service technician. 4 stop and call.
| Error code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STATE 601Fronius error code 601 | Internal data bus full[1] The inverter's internal data bus has overloaded and it has stopped feeding in. Fronius's remedy is a firmware update; if it keeps happening the inverter needs a service visit. Bus faults are internal, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 603Fronius error code 603 | Temperature sensor faulty (phase 3)[1] The temperature sensor on the third phase of a three-phase inverter has failed. The inverter tries to keep going, but it cannot protect itself properly and needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 604Fronius error code 604 | DC temperature sensor faulty[1] The temperature sensor on the inverter's DC board has failed. The inverter cannot protect itself from overheating without it, so it needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 607Fronius error code 607 | Leakage current fault[1] The inverter's leakage current monitor has tripped and it has stopped feeding in. Fronius says it can be reset once from the display, but if it comes back the solar wiring must be checked for damage. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
Codes from 700 to 799. The control system, its settings, the clock and firmware updates. Many are a setting or a USB stick. A few are hardware. 3 stop and call, 11 worth a look.
| Error code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STATE 705Fronius error code 705 | Inverter number clash[1] Two inverters on the same Fronius Solar Net link have been given the same number, so the monitoring cannot tell them apart. The inverter still makes power; an installer corrects the number in the setup menu. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 710Fronius error code 710 | Solar Net signal missing[3] The inverter has lost the heartbeat signal from the Fronius Solar Net link that carries its monitoring data. The inverter still makes power; Fronius's remedy is to check the Solar Net connection and update the inverter and Datamanager firmware. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 721Fronius error code 721 | Settings memory reset[1] The inverter's settings memory has been reset or is faulty. It keeps running and the code can be acknowledged; if it keeps coming back the control board needs a service visit. Internal and hardware faults need testing with the right instruments, so we treat them as a call. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 731Fronius error code 731 | USB stick not supported[1] The inverter could not read the USB stick plugged into it, usually because of the stick's format. It only affects logging or a firmware update, not solar production. Fronius says to check or replace the stick and its file system. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 733Fronius error code 733 | No USB stick connected[1] The inverter expected a USB stick (for logging or an update) and cannot find one. It does not affect solar production. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 734Fronius error code 734 | Update file not found[1] The inverter looked for a firmware update file on the USB stick and could not find or recognise it. It does not affect solar production. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 735Fronius error code 735 | Update file does not match[1] The firmware update file on the USB stick is for a different model or is older than what is already installed, so the update stopped. It does not affect solar production. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 736Fronius error code 736 | USB read or write error[1] The inverter had trouble reading or writing the USB stick. It does not affect solar production. Fronius warns never to pull the stick out while the data light is flashing. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 745Fronius error code 745 | Update file corrupt[1] The firmware update file on the USB stick is damaged, so the update stopped. It does not affect solar production. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 751Fronius error code 751 | Clock lost the time[1] The inverter's clock has lost the time and date, usually after a long power cut. Solar production is not affected but the monitoring timestamps will be wrong until it is reset. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 757Fronius error code 757 | Clock hardware fault[1] The inverter's real-time clock hardware has failed and the inverter has stopped feeding in. It needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 758Fronius error code 758 | Clock in backup mode[1] The inverter's clock is running in emergency mode, so the time may be wrong, but it keeps making power normally. STATE 753 is the same warning. Resetting the time and date clears it. Safe steps in the lookup |
Worth a look |
| STATE 760Fronius error code 760 | Internal hardware error[1] The inverter has reported a general internal hardware error. It needs a service visit. Safe steps in the lookup |
Stop and call |
| STATE 766Fronius error code 766 | Emergency power limit active[1] The inverter is running in a limited emergency power mode (capped at 750 watts). If you did not expect this, an installer needs to check the settings and any backup wiring. Safe steps in the lookup |

No Fronius error code matches that. Try the fault code lookup, which also works from a description of what you can see.
Our own licensed electricians cover Greater Adelaide and regional SA, and from North Brisbane up through the Sunshine Coast to Gympie. Check your postcode, then read us the code and tell us the install year. If it needs a visit, the callout is credited against the work.
Try one restart, in this order:
Never open the unit or touch the wiring. Never restart anything that smells hot or shows scorch marks. If the code comes back after one restart, stop and call.
On a visit, our electricians test the whole system before blaming the inverter. That means insulation resistance on every string, earth continuity, the relay, DC string voltages and currents, the AC supply and the unit's own fault log. Earth and insulation codes like STATE 475 and 447 often turn out to be a wet connector on the roof, and that is a repair whatever the brand.
If the fault is inside a Primo, Symo or Galvo and the part is still available, we quote the repair. On an IG or IG Plus with a serious fault, we quote the replacement and a hybrid option beside it, so a battery can go in now or later. Either way, the callout comes off whichever you choose.
We do this work in Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, Gawler, the Barossa, the Fleurieu, Murray Bridge and Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, or North Brisbane, Caboolture, Bribie Island, the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie in Queensland only. Outside those areas, everything above still applies: take the code, its meaning and the urgency to a licensed electrician or a Fronius service partner near you.
Every Fronius code on this page was read from the maker's own manual wherever one survives (90 per cent of them). Where only a secondary copy survives, the row says "best effort" and so does the lookup. The numbers match the references in the code table.
Tables last updated
Fronius shows an error as STATE followed by a number, on the inverter’s display and in the Solar.web app, so “error code 306” is STATE 306. The first digit is the class, which tells you roughly where the problem is: 1XX is the grid, 3XX the power and panel side, 4XX the inverter’s internal and safety checks, 5XX warnings, 6XX sensors and 7XX settings and updates. Find yours in the table above for what it means and how urgent it is.
STATE 306 is “power low”. The panels are not making enough power for the inverter to feed in, so it is waiting. Normal at dawn, dusk and in heavy cloud; it is only a problem if it shows in good sunlight. We rate it wait and watch. See it in the table.
STATE 447 is “insulation fault”. The inverter measured too little insulation between the solar panel wiring and earth, so it will not start. Nearly always water in a rooftop connector or isolator, a damaged cable or a cracked panel, and it is a safety issue that an electrician needs to find. We rate it stop and call. See it in the table.

For homes in our service area, the phone diagnosis is free. If it needs a visit, there is a callout fee, and it is credited against any repair or replacement we do.
Yes, if it is in our service area. Most of our repair work is on systems someone else installed. We test the whole system, not just the unit on the wall.
If you are in our service area, talk to us first and we will tell you which. If the unit is under warranty, we check that before quoting anything.
Usually not for a serious fault, because parts are running out. We will say so on the phone and price the replacement beside any repair that is still possible.
From Fronius’s own operating instructions wherever they survive, and from a secondary copy where they do not. Each code in the table carries a numbered reference to its document in the source list.
