12.76 kW Solar Installation with Switchboard Upgrade in Wynn Vale, SA
29 LONGi panels (12.76 kW) and a 10 kW Sungrow inverter on a grey concrete tile roof at Wynn Vale, plus a switchboard upgrade added on site.
Switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, three phase, rewiring, lighting and powerpoints, done by the same licensed electricians who install our solar, in Adelaide and on the Sunshine Coast.
Every solar and battery system we fit ends at a switchboard, so electrical work has always been part of the job. We do it on its own as well: switchboard upgrades, EV charger installation, three phase upgrades, power to sheds and outbuildings, rewiring and new circuits, lighting, powerpoints and safety switches.
The work is done by our own licensed electricians, the same people who install our solar. SA electrical licence 287733, QLD electrical contractor licence 1512582. No subcontracted crews.
For a bigger job, such as a switchboard upgrade, an EV charger or a three phase upgrade, the first step is a free site visit. An electrician looks at the board, the supply and what you want to run, and a written quote follows. There is no travel charge and no cost for the quote anywhere in our service area.

Small jobs are simple. You tell us what you need, a powerpoint moved, a light fitted, a safety switch added, and we book an electrician for it.
Bigger jobs start with a free site visit. For a switchboard upgrade the electrician opens the board, checks the supply and the earthing and counts the circuits. For an EV charger they look at where the car parks, how far that is from the board and whether the supply can take the load. For three phase they check what the network will need to bring in. A written quote follows, with the work and the price set out.
On the day our electricians do the work, test every circuit they have touched and show you what changed. Compliance paperwork is lodged where the job requires it. You get a working board or circuit, and you know where everything is.
On every visit we look at the board and tell you plainly if it has no safety switches or is not up to what you are asking it to do. If a rewire is on your mind, our guide to what a rewire involves explains how we approach it.
Because it is the same trade and the same board. Our electricians spend most days connecting inverters and batteries, which means they are at switchboards all the time, know what a board needs to be ready for solar, and will not fit a board today that has to come out when you add a battery next year. The business has been trading since 2017 and has fitted more than 4,000 solar and battery systems, each with its own electrical work behind it.
The same licensed team covers Adelaide from Salisbury Plain and the Sunshine Coast from Corbould Park. Our Google rating is 4.9 from more than 530 reviews, and every job carries our 10-year workmanship warranty. Finished work, including the electrical side of our solar jobs, is on our projects page.
Most of our electrical work arrives with a bigger job. A solar installation often needs a switchboard upgrade first. A battery with backup needs circuits separated at the board. An EV charger is often fitted the same day as either. Doing it in one visit means one quote and one crew who owns the whole job. And if your existing solar has a fault, that is solar repair work and we do it on any brand.
There is no travel charge and no cost for the quote anywhere in our service area. Call 1800 610 165 between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, or request a free quote on this page.

Sometimes. If the board has ceramic fuses, no safety switches or no spare space for the solar and battery breakers, it will need upgrading first, and it is far cheaper to do that on the same visit than to come back later. We check the board at the free assessment and tell you one way or the other before the solar is quoted.
Yes. We install EV chargers from Sigenergy, Tesla and GoodWe on their own dedicated circuit, placed where the car actually parks. The electrician checks the board and the supply first, because a charger is one of the larger loads a house can carry. If you have solar or are planning it, we talk through charging from the roof at the same time.
Single phase suits most homes. You start needing three phase when the loads add up: a large solar and battery system, a workshop with machinery, ducted air conditioning plus an EV charger, or a shed with serious power draw. We look at what you run now and what you plan to add, then tell you whether the upgrade is worth it or not.
A safety switch trips when it senses current leaking to earth, which usually means a faulty appliance, moisture in an outdoor fitting or powerpoint, or a damaged cable. Unplugging appliances one at a time often finds the culprit. If it keeps tripping with everything unplugged, the fault is in the wiring and an electrician needs to test the circuits.
Both. A single powerpoint, a light fitting or a safety switch is a normal day for us, and we book those the same way as a switchboard upgrade. Whatever the size, you get the price in writing before we start, and there is no travel charge anywhere in our service area, in Adelaide or on the Sunshine Coast.
Yes. We run a correctly sized cable from the house board to a sub-board in the shed, usually underground, and fit it with its own safety switches and circuits for lights, powerpoints and any machinery. The electrician measures the run and checks the house supply at the site visit, because the distance and the load decide the cable size and the price.
You don’t want to take any chances when it comes to your home’s electrical work.
