6.63 kW Solar and 7.8 kWh Battery Installation in Normanville, SA
13 Jinko panels on a tile roof, a 5 kW single phase Sigenergy inverter and a battery with a house backup gateway.
If your inverter shows a fault, your bills have crept up or the system has gone quiet, we find the cause and quote the fix. Any brand.
Solar should be forgotten about until the bill arrives. When it stops behaving, that is a job for a licensed electrician who can test the array, the inverter and the wiring, not just swap parts and hope. We do solar repairs across the Fleurieu Peninsula from our Adelaide office at Salisbury Plain, including McLaren Vale, Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Port Elliot and Yankalilla.
The first step is a free on-site assessment. We read the fault, test what we can reach and tell you what is wrong, what it will cost to fix and whether fixing it is the right call. The system does not have to be one we installed.
A licensed electrician measures your roof and your bill. No phone quotes.
On the peninsula, solar systems turn up in all ages and conditions, from rooftops on holiday houses to sheds on farms. The faults we see most are inverters throwing an error, systems that have tripped off and not restarted, monitoring that has dropped offline and output that has slowly slid. Sea air is hard on metal fittings, so systems close to the coast can show wear on mounts, isolators and cable glands sooner than one in the hills.
Some faults are small and quick. Others mean an inverter at the end of its life or a string of panels that has failed. Solar repairs in Victor Harbor and further inland follow the same method: test first, then say what we found.
We start with the inverter display and any error code, then check the isolators, the switchboard and the wiring. We test the array to see whether every string is producing. If the fault is in the inverter, we tell you whether it is repairable, covered by a manufacturer warranty or worth replacing. You get the findings in plain language and a written quote.
We will not push a new system if a repair fixes the problem. We will also say so if a new inverter makes more sense than another repair on an old one. Our electricians are certified for Sungrow, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall and repair other brands too. There is no travel charge anywhere on the peninsula, and quotes are free.
Real jobs in the region, added as our crews finish them.

Some faults are minor, but a few point to a safety issue. If there is a burning smell, visible heat or damage, switch the system off at the isolators and call us straight away. Otherwise note the code, take a photo of the display and call. We will tell you what it means.
No. We repair systems whoever installed them and whatever brand they are, including ones where the original installer has gone. We do not need to have installed it ourselves. At the assessment we look at what is there, test it and give you a written quote for the work.
Output can fall for several reasons: a failing string of panels, trees that have grown, a tired inverter, a loose connection or dirty panels. We test each part of the system to find which it is. Then you know whether you need a repair, a clean, or a bigger rethink.
It can be, especially on an older system. A check covers the isolators, fittings, wiring, inverter and each string of panels, so small problems are found before they become outages. We do not push work that is not needed, and the assessment itself is free.
