Our own licensed electricians design and install solar batteries in Adelaide and on the Sunshine Coast, new systems and retrofits alike, starting with a free 60-minute assessment.
A battery stores the solar you would otherwise send to the grid for a few cents and gives it back to the house at night. That is the simple version. The useful version depends on your bills, your inverter, the circuits you want kept alive in a blackout and how much roof you have. So we start there, not with a package.
Every battery we fit is designed and installed by our own licensed electricians. No subcontracted crews. We are certified installers for Sungrow, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall, and we also fit GoodWe batteries, with more than 4,000 solar and battery installations behind us since 2017.
The first step is a free 60-minute assessment at your place. An electrician measures the roof, opens the switchboard, reads your bills and talks through what you want from the battery. The design and a written proposal follow.

It starts with the free assessment. An electrician comes to your home for about an hour, measures the roof if you need solar as well, opens the switchboard and goes through your bills. If you already have solar, we note the inverter make and model, because that decides whether a battery can connect to it or needs its own.
From that visit we design the system and send a written proposal. It names the battery, the inverter, the size and which circuits the backup will cover. Nothing is quoted over the phone, and there are no fixed packages.
On install day our electricians mount the battery, run the cabling, fit the backup switching if you have chosen it and connect everything at the board. Most homes are finished in a day. Larger systems can take up to three. We test it, commission it, set up the monitoring app and walk you through what you are looking at before we go.
Adding a battery to existing solar. This is the most common job. Whether it is straightforward depends on the inverter you have. Some take a battery directly, others need a separate battery inverter, and some older units are better replaced at the same time. We tell you which at the assessment.
New solar and battery together. Designing both at once means the panel count, the inverter and the battery are sized to each other and to your bills. On systems we design for it, your bill gets to $0 or we cover it. It also means one visit and one set of paperwork.
Backup for blackouts. A battery on its own does not keep the lights on when the grid drops. Backup is wired in, and it covers the circuits you choose: the fridge, some lights and powerpoints, the modem, or the whole house if the battery is big enough. We ask what matters to you and wire it that way.
Commercial batteries. Businesses with daytime solar and evening or early-morning loads can shift that energy instead of exporting it. We design these from the bills and the site, the same way we do a home, at a larger scale.
VPP-ready systems. If you want the option of joining a virtual power plant later, we set the system up so it can. Our guide to virtual power plants explains what joining one involves.
At every assessment we check the inverter, the switchboard capacity, where the battery can physically go (a garage wall is the usual spot) and whether the circuits you want backed up can be separated cleanly. Those four things decide most designs.
We are electricians first. The business has been installing solar and batteries since 2017, with more than 4,000 systems fitted across Adelaide and the Sunshine Coast, and the same licensed team that fits your battery is the one you call afterwards. SA electrical licence 287733, QLD electrical contractor licence 1512582.
We are certified installers for Sungrow, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall, so a Powerwall or a SigenStor is fitted by people who know it. Every job carries a 10-year workmanship warranty on top of the product warranty. In 2025 SunWiz named us Best Rated Solar Installer Overall and Top 20 South Australia, and our Google rating sits at 4.9 from more than 530 reviews.
If you are still choosing a battery, our battery buyers guide compares the brands we see most. You can see finished systems, with the sizes and the kit used, on our projects page.
A battery is one part of the setup. If the roof needs panels too, our solar installation team designs both together. If your existing system has a fault that needs fixing before a battery goes in, that is a solar repair job and we do those on any brand. Switchboard upgrades, EV chargers and the other electrical work that often comes with a battery are done by the same electricians, on the same visit where we can.

Usually, yes. It depends on the inverter on your wall. Some inverters are built to take a battery straight away, others need a separate battery inverter alongside them, and a few older ones are worth replacing at the same time. We check the make and model at the free assessment and tell you which of those applies before anything is quoted.
Only if backup is wired in, and only for the circuits we connect to it. Most people choose the fridge, some lights and powerpoints and the modem. A larger battery can carry more of the house. We ask what you want kept running at the assessment and design the backup around that, so there are no surprises the first time the street goes dark.
Big enough to cover your evening and overnight use, and no bigger than the solar can fill. That number comes from your bills and from how much roof you have, which is why we do not quote batteries over the phone. The electrician who visits works it out from your actual usage and puts the size, the brand and the reasoning in the written proposal.
We are certified installers for Sungrow, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall, and we also fit GoodWe batteries. We keep the list short on purpose: our electricians know this gear well, the manufacturers back it with long warranties, and we can support it afterwards. Which one suits you depends on your inverter, the backup you want and the space you have for it.
Most homes are finished in a day. A battery added to existing solar is often quicker than that, while a new solar and battery system with a switchboard upgrade can run to two or three days. We tell you the expected time in the proposal, and the same electricians stay on the job from start to handover.
Yes, in two ways. The manufacturer’s product warranty covers the battery and the inverter themselves. Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers the installation: the mounting, the cabling, the switchboard work and the backup wiring. If anything plays up, you call us and the people who fitted it come back and sort it.
