We look at each one on its own terms. At the assessment we check roof pitch and condition, any shade from trees or neighbouring buildings, and whether the supply is single or three phase. Yes. Tile, tin and Colorbond roofs are all common on homes in the area, and we use mounts made for each. On tile we lift and replace tiles carefully, and on metal we fix to the sheeting or purlins. Flat sections on townhouses can take tilted frames. We check the roof’s condition at the assessment first, and if something needs fixing before panels go on, we will tell you straight.
Shade matters, so we check it on the day. We look at where trees and neighbouring roofs throw shadow across the year and place panels to avoid the worst of it. Where some shade cannot be avoided, optimisers or microinverters can limit the loss. If a tree is the real problem, we will say so rather than sell you a bigger system.
Yes. We handle the application to the electricity network and the paperwork needed for your system to be connected and switched on, so you do not have to chase it. At the assessment we will tell you what applies to your property, including any limit on how much you can export, before you commit to a design.
One of our electricians spends about 60 minutes on site. They look at the roof, the switchboard, the meter and the supply, and go through your recent bills with you.
