30.09 kW Off-Grid Solar and 40 kWh Battery System in Mount Pleasant, SA
59 Jinko panels on connected shed roofs, a 25 kW three phase Sungrow hybrid inverter and a 40 kWh Sungrow battery, running without a grid connection.
From Stirling and Hahndorf to Mount Barker and Mannum, our licensed electricians design solar around your roof, your block and your power supply.
Hills properties vary a lot, from a Stirling villa on a small block to acreage out near Birdwood. We install solar across the region, including Stirling, Crafers, Mount Barker, Woodside, Lenswood and Mannum, and every job is done by our own licensed electricians from the Adelaide office at Salisbury Plain.
Nothing is sized off a price list. We start with a free 60-minute assessment on site: the roof, the switchboard, the supply, the position of any shed, and your bills. You get a written quote at no cost, and we never charge for travel to the Hills.
A licensed electrician measures your roof and your bill. No phone quotes.
The Hills are not one kind of place. There are older homes and character villas around Stirling and Crafers, newer estates near Mount Barker, small towns such as Hahndorf and Woodside, and acreage and farm country further out toward Birdwood and Mannum. Roofs are just as mixed: tile, tin and sometimes both on the one house, plus sheds and carports with plenty of open roof.
Trees are part of the picture. Established gums and gardens can shade part of a roof, so we check what the sun reaches through the day and place panels to suit. Whether it is Stirling solar on a sloping block or Mount Barker solar on a newer home, the design starts with the roof in front of us, not a template.
Many Hills properties have a house, one or two outbuildings and a long way between them. Where the inverter goes, how far the cable has to run and what the supply can carry are all part of the design, and they change the cost of the job. A shed roof is often the best place for panels, with the cable route back to the house planned properly rather than guessed. We also check whether you are on single phase or three phase.
If the property is off-grid, or you want to be, we design for that too, with panels, a battery and a backup source sized to your real loads. We tell you what the system will and will not do.
After the free assessment we design the system and send a written quote. If you go ahead, we handle the approvals and the network application, our electricians install and test it, and we set up monitoring before handover. Most homes are finished in a day. Larger systems can take up to three.
We are certified for Sungrow, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall, and the work carries our 10-year workmanship warranty. There is no travel charge anywhere in the Hills, and quotes are free.
Real jobs in the region, added as our crews finish them.

Often, yes. A shed roof can be better than the house roof if it faces the sun and stays clear of shade. We also install ground mounts where no roof suits. We check the framing, the roof sheeting and the cable route back to the house, then design around whatever works best on your block.
It can. A long supply line, or a long cable between a shed and the house, changes where the inverter goes and how large a system the supply can carry. We measure the run at the assessment and size the cable properly. Whether the property is on single phase or three phase matters too, and we check that.
We do. We handle the approvals and the network application as part of the job, so you are not chasing forms. The system is tested and commissioned before handover, and we explain what to expect from your connection. You deal with one team from the first visit through to the finished system.
Most homes are finished in a day. Larger systems, or sites with a long cable run or switchboard work, can take up to three. We confirm the likely time at your assessment, once we have seen the roof and the board and know exactly what the job involves.
