17.85 kW Solar and 48.36 kWh Sigenergy Battery Installation in Willunga, SA
A 17.85 kW array of 35 panels with a 10 kW single phase Sigenergy inverter, 48.36 kWh of battery and house backup, replacing the old solar system.
We install home and commercial batteries across the peninsula, as part of a new system or added to the solar you already have.
Our licensed electricians install batteries both ways: with a new solar system, or as a retrofit to panels that are already on the roof. We work across the peninsula from our Adelaide office at Salisbury Plain, including Willunga, Aldinga Beach, Normanville, Hindmarsh Valley and Goolwa North, as well as Strathalbyn.
The first step is a free on-site assessment. We look at your existing system if there is one, check the switchboard, find a sensible spot for the battery and talk through what you want it to do: cut the evening bill, keep the lights on in an outage, or both. Then you get a written design and quote.
A licensed electrician measures your roof and your bill. No phone quotes.
If your solar is already up, a battery can usually be added to it. The right way depends on the inverter you have, how old the system is and whether you want backup power. Sometimes the battery connects on the AC side of the existing system, and sometimes it makes more sense to replace the inverter with a hybrid unit. We explain both and tell you honestly which one costs less for what you want.
If you are starting from nothing, designing the solar and battery together is simpler. Panels, inverter and battery are matched from day one, and the switchboard work is done once.
Most peninsula homes have a garage, carport, shed or a protected wall that suits a battery. Salt air near the coast and heat in a sunny shed both matter, so we choose a position that is sheltered and ventilated. For backup, you can keep the whole house running or just the essential circuits such as the fridge, lights and internet. We price both so you can see the difference.
For Victor Harbor solar batteries or a farm shed battery near Strathalbyn, the same approach applies: start with how you use power, then size the battery to that. A holiday house that sits empty for weeks needs a different setup from a family home that is full all day, and we design for the one you have.
We are electricians first and certified for Sungrow, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall. Our workmanship carries a 10 year warranty. There is no travel charge anywhere on the peninsula, and quotes are free.

In most cases, yes. It depends on your inverter and how old the system is. We check at the free assessment and set out your options, which may include a battery that connects alongside the existing inverter or a hybrid inverter that replaces it. We tell you which suits your goal.
Most are finished in a day, and larger systems can take up to three. A battery added to existing solar is often quicker than a full new system. We confirm the likely time at the assessment, since switchboard condition and where the battery goes both affect it.
Yes. We look after the applications and approvals that go with a battery, and we tell you if the network needs anything else from you. You are not left to chase forms. Our electricians test the system before we leave and walk you through how it behaves.
Yes. The battery and inverter brands we install each have a monitoring app that shows solar production, battery charge, and what the house is using. At handover we set it up on your phone, show you what the screens mean and what a normal day looks like.
