Off-Grid Solar and Battery System in Macclesfield, SA
A 13.2 kW off-grid solar system with a Victron 15 kVA inverter charger, 28.8 kWh of Pylontech batteries and generator auto start, in an outdoor power cabinet.

There is no grid connection at this Mount Pleasant property, so the system stands alone. It is a 30.09 kW array of 59 Jinko Solar Tiger Neo JKM510N-60HL4-V panels at 510 W, a Sungrow Hybrid Three Phase SH25T inverter at 25 kW and a 40 kWh Sungrow SBH400 battery.
Black panels cover the roofs of connected corrugated sheds. A 16 mm2 cable was run to the rear shed to supply the inverter, with the grid not connected.
The customer was asked to provide a concrete pad for the battery, 1000 mm wide by 500 mm deep. They were also told that, running off-grid, high surge loads cannot be run because of inrush current.
