Mount Magnificent runs fully off-grid, with the power system in a shed and a generator outside it.
Inside, a black mounting board carries the inverters, MPPT chargers and DC isolators, with a glass fronted battery rack beside it. We supplied and installed the off-grid power board: a Victron 8 kVA MultiPlus-II inverter charger, a Victron MPPT 450/100 charge controller and a Cerbo GX with a GX Touch 50. Three Pylontech US5000B batteries give 12 kWh usable, in a cabinet that takes up to six. An AC and DC switchboard completes the set up.
The solar is 18 AIKO Neostar 1S panels at 440 W each, on Clenergy racking. The main array reuses the existing ground mount, a galvanised steel frame in open bushland, and a smaller second array sits on a corrugated shed roof. The standby generator stands on a paved pad beside a water tank.
