Before anything new went on at this West Lakes home, the existing solar system was decommissioned and removed, with its components recycled or donated through approved channels. The old brackets came off the roof too, and the roof was reworked.
The new array is 67 AIKO Neostar 2P 475 W panels, 31.83 kW in total, with Tigo optimisers connecting one of the strings. The inverter is a Sigenergy SigenStor EC 30.0 TP, three phase, with six SigenStor BAT 8.0 batteries, 48.36 kWh in total. A three phase Sigenergy gateway provides house backup.
We also ran an EV charger cable to the north-western side of the house. Under the carport, a wall-mounted EV charger has its cable coiled on a red brick wall, and the new switchboard has its door open to show labelled circuit breakers.
