The new array is 35 LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer 475 W panels, 16.625 kW, on a grey corrugated metal roof. A GoodWe ESA GW20K-ETA-G20 inverter rated at 20 kW runs it, with five GoodWe GW8.3-BAT-D-G20 battery modules totalling 41.6 kWh.
The battery is fixed to a brick wall above a concrete slab, with an isolator box beside it. We supplied and installed a sunshade above it.
The board was already blackout protection ready, so no switchboard upgrade was needed. The house stays powered through an outage.
