This Flinders Park home has a dual phase supply and a single phase inverter, a GoodWe ESA GW9.999K-EHA-G20 rated at 10 kW. The switchboard was upgraded, and the current transformers were balanced so the inverter works across both phases. Blackout protection covers one phase.
Behind the job were an existing solar system to replace and a wish for a larger battery with backup for the house. We replaced the system with 31 LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer 475 W panels, 14.725 kW, on Clenergy racking. They are black, on the south east and north west faces of a grey concrete tile roof.
The old inverter came out. The new inverter and the battery went to a new location, with five GoodWe GW8.3-BAT-D-G20 modules, 41.6 kWh in total, fixed to a brick wall beside the carport passage.
