The Enphase battery at this Unley Park home could not work with a Tesla system, so it came out and a Tesla Powerwall went in. The house already had solar, and we are a certified Tesla Powerwall installer, so the swap was ours to do.
The Powerwall is mounted on the southern wall between the water softener and the main switchboard, closer to the water softener, with its gateway next to the switchboard. Four backup circuits with RCBOs were added in the switchboard, along with an extra enclosure and a reconfigured switchboard, and the cable runs were extended by 15 m for the CT cables and the backup supply to the sub board inside.
Electrical noise had been a problem in the house, so supplied Enphase ferrite cores were fitted to both the existing and new systems. The removed Enphase battery was returned. Through an outage, the four backed-up circuits stay powered.
