The shed at this Banksia Beach home needed its own power, and the house needed solar and a big battery. We did both in the one job.
The solar side is 20 AIKO Solar Neostar panels at 480 W, 9.6 kW in all, feeding a Sungrow SH8.0RS-ADA 8 kW inverter and a Sungrow SBR224 battery of 22.4 kWh. The battery has a sunshade cover. We also extended the DC cabling underground to the shed. We are a certified Sungrow installer.
Inside the shed there is a new Clipsal 18 pole surface-mounted switchboard enclosure on an MDF backing board, with five Type A RCBOs protecting the individual circuits. Four double power outlets and one 15 amp outlet are fitted. Lighting is three 40 W LED battens and a 50 W IP65 weatherproof floodlight. The cabling is approx. 30m of 6mm2 2 core and earth.
