The solar was already there. This Lewiston property had a SolarEdge system, and the site had three separate 5 kW inverters. The owners wanted blackout protection and a large battery added to it.
So the battery was tied in on the AC side, rather than replacing any of the existing equipment. It is a Sungrow SBH400 with 40 kWh usable, and a Sungrow Hybrid Three Phase SH15T inverter at 15 kW, AC coupled to the existing solar. To make blackout protection work, the main switchboard and sub boards were upgraded.
In a timber and tin shed, the white Sungrow battery stack stands against a black backing board, with the wall-mounted inverter and a new distribution board on the same board. We are a Sungrow certified installer.
