8.64 kW Solar and 40 kWh GoodWe Battery Installation in Yandina, QLD
18 AIKO panels on a Colorbond roof, a 30 kW GoodWe inverter and five GoodWe batteries, with a new switchboard enclosure.

The Mudjimba brief was solar and storage that keeps the essentials going when the grid drops out. Lights, power, the hot water and one 2.5 kW split system are now on backup.
Thirty-one LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer panels went across the grey tin roof, 475 W each and 14.725 kW all up. They feed a GoodWe ESA inverter rated at 10 kW. Four GoodWe GW8.3 battery modules stand against the garage wall: 33.28 kWh on the label, 8 kWh usable in each.
Backup meant some board work first. Five circuits were changed over to Type A RCBOs so the board is compliant, and a timer for the hot water went on while we were in there. The old Foxtel dish and TV antenna came off the roof as well.
Days run on the panels. Nights, and outages, run on the batteries.
