We laid 23 LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer panels at 475 W each, 10.925 kW in total, across two faces of the roof. A 10 kW GoodWe ESA hybrid inverter runs the lot. The batteries, three GoodWe GW8.3 modules with 8 kWh usable each, stand on a paver pad on the gravel side path against the block wall, out of the way and out of the weather. Seven circuits were brought onto backup through Type A RCBOs, so the parts of the house that matter stay on if the street loses power.
That is 24 kWh usable behind the house every night. Simple system, well placed, and sized for the people living there.
